My first idea is call for service.
Yep, if it's less than 1 year old, don't touch it! If you try to fix something yourself, you'll probably void the warranty.
Besides, it's probably either corrupted macros or a bad board.
I have the same problem but with an EC-400 (70+1 carisol side-style tool changer). I'm in the process of trying to figure out why my machine is doing this and will keep you posted...I think it may have something to do with the heavy (H) tool designation in my case. I may be putting the designation in the control incorrectly.
Check your pocket tool table Have you had to recover the tool changer? If you call up tool 1 what tool does it say is in the spindle?
I think I have discovered my problem. I was entering the "H" & "L" designations into the control on the offsets page and not the tool table (under the current commands button). It seemed to work OK for the most part, but it was really causing a problem if you decided to enter an "H" and or "L" into the offest page after the program was proved out.
I am still having problems entering the first tool into the chain when it is in the spindle though. Actually not the tool but the "H" & "L" designations. It seems as though I have to assign tool 1 to pocket 2 (not pocket 1 because if you origin the data table it automatically assigns T1 to P2), assign tool 2 to pocket 4, and then put in the "L" & "H" designations.
