I need some help on spindle speed control on a small 3020 CNC with Redonda controller using EMC2.
Nothing on the GUI changes the speed - and M codes dont work using the 'S' parameter.
Any clues would be valued.

Not all of these have the spindle speed control option even though it might show up on your GUI.
www.socalpe.com offers CNC retrofit kits, CNC repair services, CNC motion controls, and a variety of CNC Components and accessories.
Thx for the advice - I still suspect spindle speed control may be an option. The drive motor is marked variable speed 1000 - 22000 RPM but only spins at a slow (I estimate 2000RPM) when activated by a loaded program. So something must be controlling it, I've been looking for some 'max speed' .INI file in rth EMC2 operating system to see if that's been set low or something.
Anyway the next step is to put a multimeter on the motor and see what voltage the controller is putting out, the drive motor is rated 220VAC.
Hi there,
I managed to wipe the memory on my lathe (Denford Senior 200) and im having spindle speed problems aswell. I suspect its a parameter issue, did you get yours going in the end? Mine seems to run at about 80RPM when set at 1500... a bit useless really!!
Thanks,
Paul
