Hey guys,
Im new to all this (playing with mach for a few months now) and am slowly losing my fear of all this new and awesome tech. Ive made a few parts now thanks to CamBam and Mach3, but have an idea I want to try in order to make a few parts. I believe its called "mill turning", where you put a piece of round stock in the mill collet and use stationary lathe (or other) tools to turn profiles, essentially using the z and x axis as a CNC lathe.
How does one go about doing this? As a newbie I would love to come across a wizard or something to assist in this but have had no luck so far.
I need to make a few different versions of machined finishing washers from aluminum, similar to these:
Stainless Steel Washer - Buy Aisi 304 Stainless Steel Washer,316l Stainless Steel Flat Washer,Inox Stainless Steel Washer Product on Alibaba.com
SO the ability to turn the shoulder radius and bore out the center with a stationary endmill, then countersink would be great.
What do you guys suggest?
Thanks in advance!
