    slowing jog?

Someone told me how to slow down the jog and hold the shift key to increase the speed of the jog to normal.

How do you get mach3 to do this?

Hit the TAB key and you'll get the jog screen where you can adjust the speed.

And you can program the ctrl key for small steps.
I find this useful, quite often. Set to 0.025 (0.001") toward the top of the jog screen.
I like the TAB key, and hide the jog screen as soon as I have changed it as I only have a low res touch screen, and need the space.

    x, y problem.

Not sure I can explain this but here it goes.

I have my board running or going long ways along the x axis in vcarve 5.5, but when I put it in mach3 the board runs up the y axis. What did I do or how can I change it in mach3?

In pins and config swap the X and Y drive pins: clock and direction for each,
    or
you have a screwed up post processor file or coordinate system used is not standard.

In Mach3: Y+ is up, X+ is to the right, and Z+ is up, as viewed from the cutter, looking down.

On a vertical mill Y+, X+ moves the table towards you and to the left.

It all depends on your point of view. If you view from the cutter, you usually have it as per convention, for routers and vertical mills.

    thanks for you reply

But when I changed the x and y pins my A didn't work which is a slave to x.
I posted my pin settings, my controller is a g540.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you swap X an Y then the slave axis A will then be Y. You need to change that too.
Make sure you save your .xml file before doing changes. It is in the Mach3 folder.
After making changes you must restart Mach3.

It's displaying right, it's cutting along the x. It's just a mirrored the file. I'm close.
