    Gecko G540 Limit Switch Setup...

I just received my Gecko G540, and have read numerous posts on setting up limit switches. I want to use two limit switches for the X and Y axis and one for the Z axis.

I realize I should use the NC option on my micro limit switches, but does some one have a diagram of how to hook two up in a loop to have them mounted at X+ and X- (Pin 1 On The Gecko), and (Y+, and y- Pin 2 on the Gecko) Z would of course use pin 3 on the Gecko.? I want to have pin 4 on the gecko for a touch plate.

I was also wondering if I wire the switches the way I described above if I can also use them as home switches?

I appreciate everyones advice, thank you in advance.

just hook one wire to pin 12 , connect one wire between the 2 switches and the pin on the other switch to pin 1. pretty simple.

Yep you can use them as home switches as well. If they are a cheap switch make sure to up your debounce setting in Mach 3 to prevent false triggers.

FYI you can have all the limit switches go to one input as well. The only problem where this come into play is if or when a limit is triggered it won't tell you what axis is triggered.

    Looks good

The diagram was a huge help thank you. I have another question about my E-stop switch. It has two colors on the back of the switch red and green. then it has numbers on it 1-4 with 4 screw points. What's the correct way to wire the switch?

I don't know what's C or NC. I would assume the red colored side is common, but we know were assumption can get you.
