    Looking for a Replacement

I work in a small Prototype shop. we have 3 powepath lathes, and an EZ path II. we are looking for a new lathe, and haven't been able to find anything that comes close to the conversational on a Bridgeport. if anyone has any suggestions or recommendations, i would love to hear them.

I know what you are saying. The Bridgeport lathe was a great machine. We still use 3 of them in our shop every day. One lathe that I'll have to check out when it's time to replace them is the prototrak lathes. Here is a link.

Then there's Romi. They still make a lathe something like what you have. Not sure what the programing is like. Here is their link.

That's all I can think of right now.

Milacron over at cnczone has a Romi M17 in fantastic condition for sale. I have used a couple of these machines and the conversational setup is very easy to use, and quite capable.

    Replacement

There is a very nice PowerPath on Ebay right now. Price is a little high but it looks like it's in very nice shape. It spent most of it's life in a school.
