You could try ThyssenKrupp Areospace in Wetherill Park, I know they will have it - not sure whether you would need to set up an account or something...Rob

For small quantities, I've used off-cuts galore on ebay or quicksales

Any other local supplier fellas? I've been to Metal, Metal Suppliers, Scrap Metal Dealers Melbourne, Machining Bars - Highett Metal and their warehouse has heaps of scraps and new plates but would like to find another supplier, preferably one that sells online so I don't have to hike it out to Braeside every time. Cheers

    6082

Who sell slabs of 6061 T6 or higher billet 55/60mm thick?
If I was going to play with lumps that big, methinks I would try very hard to get 6082 alloy. It machines a whole lot better than 6060/1.

    Cheers

Alright this is stuff left over from our production, and being a sheet metal shop we will struggle to ever use this stuff.. As much as I'd love to have a mill or lathe to be able to use it

    58mm dia bar, 12ft length (3660mm).. 6061-T6511
    71mm dia bar, 1320mm long, 6061-T6511
    83.6mm dia bar, 1590mm long, 6061-T6511
    Square bar, 19x25x3660, guessing 6061-T6511

    Now for some blocks.

    760x160x127mm 7050-T7451
    1660x135x127mm 7050-T7451
    1140x910x50 7050-T7451

Few other blocks hanging around but not sure what material it is.

    550x300x80mm
    570x480x50mm.

We do have a waterjet so can cut this stuff within reason. Can get expensive pretty quick though.

Located in Port Melbourne - let me know if anyone is interested in this stuff.
