    Possibly CNC convert Grizzly G8688 7x12 Mini Lathe

    Hi all,

    So I have been flirting with the idea of CNC converting this mini lathe. It's been perfect for my uses of producing smaller parts. I have upgraded the lathe with a few parts including QCTP and 5" chuck, etc. Is there any good "guide" to converting? Thanks!

    There are a few conversions around that are decent. Lots of different ways to get the machine going.

    I've started a site dedicated to cnc of the mini lathe: 7xCNC.com
    I've stated to document my bills, plus there are links to some others. I just got my cad to cam to LinuxCNC sorted on the weekend so I can now make complex curved parts.
    I've started some simple guides on some software stuff too.
    I plan to put up some more photos and info in a couple of weeks (away for work at present).
