Looking for someone to do some 5-axis programming

We are looking for someone who knows how to program a large 5-axis cnc machine in the Los Angeles area. This is a temporary job to program cutting/drilling on flat steel plate.

Any help, recommendations, or just ideas would be appreciated. This is for a company that is purchasing 5 axis equipment to automate some drilling and beveling.

It would be helpful to see the part and know what the machine is.

Sorry for the delay, I have been traveling with work and bit swamped.

It will be drilling holes holes into flat steel plate. Some holes will be drilled straight, some will have a pitch to them. After all the holes are cut, the edge of the steel plate would need to be cut out and the edges beveled to allow for a box to be placed inside. See the drawing as it may explain better. This would be on a Toshiba 5 Axis, using a Tosnuc 888 control. Attachment 270106

It looks like what you have here is a sheet metal part. It seems to me you would be better served if you did a flat layout on this piece and cut out the holes on a laser cutter, plasma cutter or water jet. Then when the piece is formed into its final shape, the holes will be normal to the curved surfaces. If the piece is already formed, the holes can still be cut into it with a 5 axis laser cutter.

If the Toshiba is the only option available, the holes can still be fabricated with cutting tools, but the piece will need to be backed and supported with a fixture. With the piece clamped over the fixture, it will provide you with the rigidity you will need to absorb the linear and tangential cutting forces generated by rotating tools.

It can be done but it's more time, effort and naturally expense. Of course, more detailed models or drawings would be required to get an idea of what kind of tooling and fixturing is required.
