    G0704 Conversion kits

Hi all, can someone please explain this to me?

Automation Technology Inc. has this kit up on their site for $549,

High-Torque Stepper Motor, Stepper Motor, Driver, Stepper Motor kit, DC Servo Motor, DC Servo Motor kit, Stepper Motor Power Supply, CNC Router, Spindle, and other Components. Automation Technology Inc

.... and it's the same kit (picture anyway) as Billy (BDTools) on ebay for $739. Is this the same exact kit or?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=271135130827

    Thanks for the info-

    Dave,

Keep in mind, when Billy sells that kit on E-Bay, he has to fork over on the order of $80 or more in E-Bay fees, so he's really selling the kit for more like $650. E-Bay/PayPal fees have really gotten outrageous. Automation Tech may also consider the kit a "loss leader" to attract more sales of motors and controllers, so they sell them on slim margin just to attract customers.

    Regards,
    Ray L.

    Hi, Ray,

While I realize what ebay does to sellers, I actually just got an email saying he (Billy) does not sell through Automation Technologies, so I'm not sure why they're using his picture. Kinda dirty there, no?

What's funny is how the link on the zone changed immediately as well. It was this:

    Code:
