    R&P Pinion mounting plate

Anyone have some examples (pictures) of alternative way of mounting pinions for rack and pinion drive other then CNC router parts? And what advantage/disadvantage they would have.

I have searched for this also. Found some 15-20 different designs, and plans for some of them. Tell me which you like most and I'll see if I have plans for that one. Pictures attached in several messages.

    Just a few notes:

    - It is very unclear if steel and aluminum plates have big advantage over Delrin or polyacetal ones. There are claims that later ones can have vibration issues, but I'm not so sure that is true.

    - Smaller pulley have to have enough contact (teeth) with the belt, so the distance between pulleys must be big enough. Smaller assembly looks nice, but larger ones are better design.
