hi, I have K2 cnc model KG9850 router, currently working with wood.
I want to try something new and would appreciate any advice on connecting a machine torch hypertherm 65 plasma to the cnc.
can i connect it via the control box relay?
will appreciate any help. thanks.

If the Powermax65 has the optional CPC interface receptacle (on the rear panel)...then you can interface the start signal on pins 3 and 4 on that connector. To fire the plasma, assuming it is powered up, has an adequate air supply and consumables in the torch, simply short pins 3 to4, to stop the torch, open the connection between pins 3 and 4.

You will need a contact closure output from your cnc control. I suggest contacting K2 to get suggestions on how to connect an output relay, as well as how to adapt the program to start and stop the plasma torch in the correct locations for the cut path.
