We are trying make stone carving machine during 2012 and 2013. I found the knife of machine is break easily much usual than process wood or density board.

1. You cannot use the machine with too fast speed of Z axis. It will break the knife and clamp of knife will out of shape. I advise you choose the stone carving machine with 4.5kw power spindle because of the speed is enough and could save electric charge....
2. Use the right knife to carve stone. Like the diamond knife suit marble but cannot be used for word or painting. And the life of knife is related to the speed of spindle. You cannot carve the hard stone with fast speed.
3. Keep the water is enough!
4. Rotating your spindle and then carve the stone. Treat it as your baby... Gently and softly.
