Question regarding programming Citizen with Partmaker

Just wandering when Partmaker outputs program it is a .cnc file. But I have to load a .prg on my Citizen. Is this correct and if so how do I go about doing it

You should be able to set defaults to post it as a .txt file, if not then generate the code with the post processor. SAve it in Notepad as a .TXT in both the file name and the file type. Save it on the flashcard and drop it into the controller.

For sure though send me some samples about your MC-data and ill help you. If you do not "structure" the machine within partmaker to what your modular tool block setup is then you will get alarms on the machine when you load the program into it.

Just RIGHT CLICK on the file name and choose "RENAME". Delete the ".CNC" and change it to ".PRG"
If you do not see the ".CNC" when you look at the file then there is a setting in your computer that is set to Hide File Extensions. Change that.

Contact [email protected] and we can change it so you get a .prg extension.
