Ive had no complaints with our Toyoda Horizontal with a cat 50, it's a beauty. The problem im having is, all of a sudden AL-42 as " position coder 1-rotation signal not detected", came on and the tool wont change, we have a tool chain for 130 tools, as well alarm the coolant wont come on either. m19 spindle orient works fine, but when we try to get the next tool ready in our program with T3 or whatever, it alarms out with al-42. Any help or has anyone had this problem?? Thanks

Drop the tool change door in MDI with the M code listed on the cheat sheet they are usually magnetized to the side of the machine.

E-stop the machine so you can crawl into the space where the tool changer is. If you look around you will see small round sensor switches placed at the end of the tool motion strokes, clean the faces of those switches with a rag and make sure there is a light that is illuminated on the side of the switch body.

I think you have a chip on the face of one of those switches which will not let the cycle complete for each step of movement the tool changer goes thru.

Also there is a switch up on top of the machine where the tool change door move up. Having a chip on this switch will not allow the coolant to come on due to the machine thinking the tool change door is open.
