    Quick change tool post reccomendations

Ordered a Patriot machine and am buying some tooling. Looking for recommendations on a quick change tool post that fits the machine. Any experience with these and if the Phase II Chinese built are any good.

Get a wedge type. I got a piston type initially and found it to have very poor repeatability. I bought a wedge type and it is much better. Also, you will have to do some modifying of the compound and or QCTP to mount it correctly. I found the BXA size to be about right. Phase 2 is a good brand. You might want to check out cdco.com. Good prices and decent quality. That is where I bought from and I am quite satisfied.

I use a Dorian AXA and built a riser out of 6061.

    Hi Timbob, Tropopv,

Could you guys post pictures of your QCTP setups?

    Thanks!

Thanks for the input. Figured the Phase II would be on par with the machine itself. Just didn't want to end up with sub-par equipment. Pics of you setups would be great.
