Hi, Im new to CNC i run 3 mills and 1 lathe

My name is Marc, I am new to this forum and machining in general.

I got my job at American Technologies network (ATN) around the holiday season of 2011, I was on the construction crew that built the lab (I hate construction) So after we finished, I applied and got a job in packaging.
Soon after i was doing many other things QC, shipping etc. I ended up bouncing back from thermal assembly to the machine shop (Most my time is in the shop now)

I am decent with the craftsmanship part of the job-(Sand blasting/file'ing, etc) and i can make my way around the control panel alright.... But i want to learn setup and how to use the cadcam program.

Can any one offer any good links on free learning material?
And if your curious we manufacture parts for the ATN Thor, it is a thermal rifle scope.

What does this have to do with product announcements?

"i want to learn setup and how to use the cadcam program."

Which CAD/CAM program? There are many with lots of differences.

You need to be more specific as to what type of machines are in the shop that you want to learn to run and setup. Also what CAD CAM is used? There are about 100 different cad cams.

    Thank you!

    I run 4 haas machines 1 vf4 5 axis, 1 vf2 high speed, 1 mini mill, and 1 very leaky lathe.
We have cad cam at work but knowing how expensive it is and how sensitive the files on that computer are, i dare not ask for a test drive.
