Jitter moving stepper motors with mach3

    Hello everybody,

I tried to setup my motors in mach3 and I've noticed that those are skipping steps when jogging in Motor Setup . I'll try to post a video when I get home.
The motors are not shaking back and forth like I've not connect them properly....just not moving round and smooth.
    What can be the problem?

In Mach3 I started with 2000 or 1800 steps per mm , step & direction pulse set to 0 . Tried different speeds and velocity with the same result. Could it be that the pulses are coming too fast for the driver to process ?

Unipolar Driver based on ICs L297 & 74HC08

Intel i3 with PCI Parallel Port Board and Windows XP

I have Eset Nod antivirus installed but I think the computer is powerful enough not to "choke" .

@ger21 Thanks! That's it !! It also works setting to 3 . Also the vibration has been eliminated.
