    Did I make a mistake?

I just bought these on eBay:

    VEXTA STEPPING MOTORS

These are 6 volt, 0.8 amp, 1.8 degree step.

Model is PX245-028-C8, manufactured by Oriental Motor Co, LTD. JAPAN

I can't find any more info on them online. I plan to get a HobbyCNC board when they're available so will these work for a small foam cutter?

Price was right, only $20 but was it too cheap for a reason?

well, they are small really but you should be able to use them on a small machine. still cheap though.

if you have a good bearing system on your foam cutter they should be fine, there is no load with a foam cutter other then your bearing and a little bit of wire tension. I run a 60 x 40 inch machine with motors not much different than that.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I was under the assumption that the load would be minimal for a foam cutter of the size that I want. I guess I got a good deal, the eBay seller had some more of the same motors if anyone else is interested.
