I am going to part out my Arrow 500. The only part that I need and cant find is the Spindax spindle drive, so all other components are working. Here is a list.

X drive $700
Y drive $700
Z drive $800
X motor $700
Y motor $700
Z motor $800
power supply module $900
memory module $900 (has new batteries and files loaded)
servo module $800
I/O module $800
motherboard $1100
main transformer $600
spindle motor $1200
coolant pump $250
control panel $400
DC braking resistors $500

all these components work. I just cant find a spindle drive that I can make work and I'm tired of beating my head against the wall. I have a video of the machine moving to show that it runs other than the spindle turning. although the spindle turns smooth when wired around the spindle drive.

Why cant you just use a over the counter VFD?

I appreciate the replies, but I am not knowledgeable enough to get any further than i am now with this project, so i have decided to scrap it and start over.
