Sorry if this isn't the right forum to post under, but whatever. At our Technical school, we have a CNC proLIGHT 3000 lathe. We haven't used it in a few years but we decided we should start again. The computer which it used stopped working, so we found a newer and better computer and installed Mach Turn. We hooked it up to the controller box, and hooked that up to the lathe. We just can't get the 3 pieces of equipment to communicate with each other. We plugged the lathe directly into the wall and it started up right away, so we know that it still works. I think there is supposed to be a readout on the digital spindle display, but nothing is displayed. We tried hooking the lathe up to a different controller box that is normally used for the CNC Milling machine, but still nothing. We have exhausted all options and have hit a dead end. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much.
