Inkscape to dxf - text outlines are rough

Have a logo in inkscape I need to convert to dxf to send out for CNC machining. I output to eps and then ran through pstoedit. The text had small number of points for outlines so the outlines weren't smooth. Is there some way to increase the number of points or output the outlines as curves? Also had trouble with part of the drawing not showing up - hoping that is a simple problem but just haven't been able to retry. Main problem is text issue. Didn't really understand some of the options when exporting eps file and command line options for pstoedit. Is there a detailed step by step somewhere? Many of the examples I found just say use pstoedit or, if they give the full command line command, they don't explain the options.
