    Replacement Fanuc Battery help

I want to replacement the battery in my machine as I don't know when it was last done it's a Fanuc A98L-0031-0012 .
Now my question is, do I have to use a Fanuc battery? They want $130 for theirs and I can get a Sanyo battery from a different machine repair shop for $28.00 he said it's the same and is a direct replacement.

weve put 3 and 4 cell radio shack 'D' cell holders in a lot of our machines...last a looooong time, dirt cheep... crazy what some batteries cost these days.

be glad its not Okuma, you have to buy a 'battery reset diskette' - when they first told me that, i thought it was a joke...it is, but its true.

    It's the 3v battery for a Fanuc 0i Mate-MB control unit, I think it's memory.
This machine only has the 1 battery, it does not have the 6v/2 D size.

Ya, any lithium should work fine. I made a lot of money over the years installing the 4 d cell fanuc battery holders to replace the lithium APC batteries! The batteries were 70.00 each last time I looked, the d cell box is about 65.00. The memory batteries last a long time, the APC batteries were lucky to last a year.

    Question

    Hi,

On your Fanuc 0i Mate, does the battery has the black plastic cover with connector integrated like on this picture :

    Attachment 206008

FANUC Lithium Battery A98L-0031-0026 by: FANUC - FANUC Lithium Battery A98L00310026 - Cnc-Shopping.com

or your Fanuc battery is still a 0012 (the green Sanyo CR17450SE-R) fitted with your 0i control ?

    Go for it

They add on a bit for the "FANUC" stamp on the wrapper

Looks like the battery that is on the drives in the rear of the machine

    just replaced our battery (BR-2/3CGT4a 6volt )
    - Fanuc part = $130 Batteriesdirect =$45

Could have go it cheaper still

you can get cheaper than $28 http://www.batteriesdirect.com.au/sh...uct/7299/.html
