    Bridgeport cnc series 1 retrofit

    I have been looking for a good deal on a Bridgeport CNC Series 1 to retrofit. I need the machine to be in good shape without the Boss controls. I will be retro fitting with new electronics. I live in the Houston area. If anyone knows of a good Bridgeport cnc series 1 close buy let me know.

    I went that route several years ago myself. I contacted a couple of local new and used machine tool dealers and told them what I was looking for. Normally they want nothing to do with the old Boss machines, but they have customers that want to trade them in. Sometimes they take them in trade just to make the sale and then scrap them out. That's what I got after about a month. A Boss4 and a Tracer equipped Bridgeport. $500 for both & $700 rigging. Both or nothing ;-)
