    Freezing aluminum honeycomb core

Does anyone know what solution other than water is used to cut honeycomb core? We can't use wax do to contamination of the core. I heard on emastercam that there is a slime solution used in the core cutting industry but couldn't remember the name of it. We have to hold pretty tight tolerances and can't have the cells fold over.

    Thanks in advance

If it is uncompressed a band saw dry is fine. If open use a long snap type retractable blade and hold the core between a template of what shape you require it is very clean and will not fold the edge of the core. Blade must be new and will need to be snapped off after a few cuts. You will also be able to cut a bevel at 45 deg with open core this way.
