A friend tried to post for me a program from a metric DXF print file to a BP S2 Boss6. When we went to the folder with all of the posts there was a Boss6I file listed but no Boss6M file listed. Based on all of the other 'I' & 'M' posts listed in the folder there should have been a Boss6M file, or so we believe.

Does EZCAM have a Boss6M post that somehow got deleted? Does the Boss6 convert Inch to Metric internally using the Boss6I post? I forgot to ask him which version of EZCam he has but his last update was to XP and was at least 5-6 years ago so if that makes a difference I will check with him.

I apologized for my ignorant question, I just got the mill and am looking for an easier way to program the Boss6. It is my first CNC mill.

Any and all help would be much appreciated. TIA!

You can post a metric part with an inch post and run the machine in inch.

Bill,

All upgrades come with a new library of post processors. If a post is not in the library, for some reason, usually a post is modified the same day you upgrade.

Hi Bill,

There are EZCAM BP-Boss6 Inch and Metric postprocessors.
Do you have the MBuild program to modify the postprocessor ?
