Restting the backlash would be the first thing I would try. Go to your command page, type BL and hit enter. You should see a display of where each axis is set. For X and Y the first number is at the center of the table, second number toward the left end and third number toward the right end. Each number represents .0001 in the inch system. Example: 13,15,12 in X would mean there is a .0013 adjustment at center, .0015 adjustment at the left end, and a .0012 adjustment on the right end.
To increase the backlash adjustment by .0002 in all areas in the example, you would type "BL,1,15,17,14".
The "1" represents the X axis.
If you wanted to change the Y axis, you would type "BL,2,XX,XX,XX", Z is "BL,3,XX,XX,XX.
An adjustment of .0004 would be entered as only"4", no zero.
Does this help?
