    Inhibit Origin of Absolute position

We have a few VTL's with 0i controls and a few with 15b controls. On the 0i's you can't origin the absolute position's, but on the 15's you can. I've looked but can't find a parameter to turn this function off, does anyone know if this is possible?

We had a machinist accidently origin the absolute position on the program check screen which caused a crash, I'm trying to prevent a recurrence.

    Thanks,
    Dave

I think you can manage that using the parameters starting at 1300. Look for stroke check in you parameter manual, that I believe they can do what you want (inhibit a movement to a certain place programmatically)

Thank you fomaz for the response, but I think I've failed to make myself clear. I'm trying to inhibit the use of the origin soft key to zero out the absolute position. I'm fine with being able to zero out the relative screen, just not the absolute. I'm wondering if this is even possible on the 15b.

    Thanks,
    Dave
