    Fuling to Huanyang VFD switch

I just bought a new Huanyang HY02D2 to replace the old Fuling. I'm trying to wire it the same as the Fuling but the labels on the control circuit terminals are totally different. I got the power in and out to the spindle figured out, but the old Fuling had 2 wires (red & white) going to S1 and DCM terminals. The terminals on the new Huanyang are: FA FC FB 24V DCM -- 5V ACM AI VI RS- RS+

    Fuling: S1 S2 DCM S3 S4 S5 S6 DCM EV -- SG+ SG-

Anybody know how these are wired? I don't even know what those 2 wires go to, I just want it connected the same as it was to the old one.

    Thanks

Well DCM is the digital common wire. Do you know what S1 goes to? Switch 1?
How are you controlling the start/stop and speed on the huanyang?

I don't know anything about these CNCs really. I know the wires from S1 and DCM connect to the breadout board that is connected to the PC. I'm thinking it might be the spindle speed but that's just a guess. I think I'll go ahead and power it up without that connected and see what doesn't work..

BTW we are running Mach III and we can control the spindle RPM either through Mach III or with the knob on the Fuling display. The Huanyang display looks just like the Fuling.

    Thanks for the response.

Oh, to answer your question, the on/off and speed are controlled through Mach III.

Can you tell me which terminal on the Huanyang controls spindle RPM? That might be it.

If you had a link to the Fuling manual it would help, or at least post the appropriate pages?
The Huanyang is on line and show all the external connections.

Thanks, I did find a manual for Huanyang. Looks like it has Muli Input 1 thru 6 which might corespond to the Fuling's S1 thru S6.

The "multi input 1" on the Huanyang is labeled FOR. If I can find the coresponding terminal on the old Fuling and it labled S1= FOR, then I'll be in good shape.

I guess I need a Fuling manual, I haven't been able to find that anywhere.

Otherwise, I'll just try it that way and see what happens.

That was it. I tried to run it without that wire plugged in and the spindle didn't work, so I plugged red in to "FOR" and white in to DCM and everything works perfect.

    Thanks
