Smooth Stepper Ethernet Board - Mach3

    Hi,

Hopefully someone else has got some experience with these things. Again no instructions supplied with the "kit" i got, or with the smooth stepper..

Its plugged in, im getting two short Flashes, and a pause, the two short flashes, as if its in "wake-up" mode. The documentaiton says its going to be running with an IP address of 10.9.9.9 I've set up my network so i can reach that, but when i ping it. ( ping 10.9.9.9 ) i don't get any response.

Will it in fact repsond to a ping?

I have a C25 board to plug it in, from cnc4pc.com i'm hoping i've got the ports set up right.. Again theres a real lack of documentation. I was sent a diagram for a differnet controller, to the the one that i got.

    ANy clues appreicated.

While I don't have the Ethernet version of the smooth stepper I am wondering if you have loaded the Ethernet SmoothStepper plugin which Mach3 uses to control the smooth stepper.
Plug in is available here. Software

Once you are talking to the smooth stepper you can start pulling your hair out over the C25 board.

    Hope this helps

    Cheers
    Peter

Got the Smooth Stepper Ethernt ruuning... And yest it will respond to a ping, as long as you have a version 1 or higher board.

Nice one. Good to see you got it going.
