now I'm hoping someone could help change my mind. we are a high school welding program that does first year apprenticeship. The machine was purchased for a School and all the money came from fund raising.
    Any sugestions???????
What model machine do you have? Have you tried contacting Shop Sabre support? The machines come with lifetime support as far as I know...

I'm not familiar with that machine. You really should contact them and have them help you figure out what's going on.
They claim "Lifetime Tech Support (phone, email, and pc to pc connectivity)"

If it is moving around as if it is running the file in the air, then you may have z settings wrong in software, these machines do what they are told no more no less.

best guess is you may be using vectric, does the z setting on file match wht the machine thinks ?

Re: Shop saber owners - where are you?

    New owner here... Castaic California.
Finally got my Sidekick 4x4 router and plasma table in, almost 2 months after promised. I know a jack of all trades is a master of none but I'm hopeful... and at the very least it fits in the small area I have. So far I hooked it up and it's working. Not to hijack but now I'm looking for information on what bits to buy for composite plastics, hardwood, and aluminum. Any PM recommendations for sizes, up down, feed speeds, reasonable sellers, etc would be greatly appreciated. I am kinda disappointed that the table didn't come with recommended values... Or maybe I just haven't found them yet.

Just got our new IS612 in on Tuesday. Working on getting everything plumbed/wired etc. now. Can't wait to fire it up!! Think it's going to be one hell of an upgrade from our old CamTech!!

    Hello CNCers,
I am debating purchasing he IS 510 or the Freedom Machine Tool 510 patriot.
Any Feedback about your experience with Shop Sabre and their product would be greatly appreciated, AND... if you have comments or experience with the Patriot I'd appreciate them too.
I own and run a cabinet shop, and will process 20-60 sheets a week.

    thanks

We've had our IS612 for a little over a year now. It's been a great machine so far, and their tech support has been absolutely fantastic to work with. There is also a very good Shop Sabre Owners group on Facebook that's been great for passing around information. Can't find one bad thing to say about Shop Sabre or their service!!

    Hope this helps.

Re: Shop saber owners - where are you?

I have the ShopSabre 23 and have only had it for about a month now. Up to this point I am VERY impressed with the quality of the machine and the parts I've produced. I produced a set of 1911 pistol grips out of Black Walnut for my son and they turned out awesome. I've been in the CNC router industry for almost 30 years and was an application engineer for the CNC router group at one of the main machinery suppliers for almost 10 of those years, so my expectations are high and so far this machine has met them all.

It looks like this is our Shop Sabre forum... It would be great if there were more activity here. I am a new owner of an IS408: 12hp spindle, 20 hp vac, 5 tool ATC (really wish the 8 tool special had been going when I bought), VCarve Pro 8, Cut3d. Don't have a lot of time on the machine yet but so far the Tech Support has been there every time I needed them. I would be happy to share/read any experiences, knowledge, anecdotes, etc. anyone has time post. Having said this, I really don't know how some guys get any work done as much time as they spend on the forums...
