    Loud noise on slow feed?

    Just got my moving gantry CNC up and running and I'm just fiddling with the program and jogging the machine. Is the machine supposed to make a slightly screeching, somewhat loud noise when it runs slowly (approx. 10in/min)? For example, when running the roadrunner, the machine sounds slightly "scratchy" during the small segments.

    Steppers can make all sorts of noise and it can resonate through the machine at certain feedrates. If your not losing steps and the cut looks good, don't worry about the noise.
