I am trying to change paramter 9100 but it says its a locked parameter, but I have PWE on, please help if you can.

Are you trying to change it in the diagnostic screen instead of parameter screen?
I believe on the 10,11 you have to set the P8000 to all ones for the 9000 parameters.

Thanks for all the help, But my problem is solved .
Fanuc 11m parameter 9100 bit 2 turned on my helical back on, please you guys make sure you back up your parameters on these old controls, fanuc claims they dont have data this old, and will make you rebuy your options.plus they dont have agood handle on them any more

I have an 1985 vintage lathe with fanuc 10t.
I have backed up my parameters, but how can i be sure i have got them all??

Print out a hard copy for one and check the parameter range, make sure you have right up to the 9000's

For changing locked parameter, you will have to delete all parameter & start from loading optional parameter in Fanuc 10, 11 & 15 system.
Before deleting pl take a full back up of machine data, plc data - counter, timer, keep relay & data table & part program.
