i've been looking around for a bob and see that some have a 200khz option. my question is what does this get you? it appears mach3 and other software is limited by a 45khz limit so where does the 200khz actually benefit the user and how?
thanks

the printer port can transfer data at at least 10 mega bytes (10,000,000)
per second.
breakout boards are not only used for cnc stuff but for lots of other things like adc , dac ( analog to digital, digital to analog) converters and much more.
sometimes these other uses require a high data transfer rate.
one thing that could slow a bob down would be slow opto isolators on the board.
slower opto's are less expensive than fast ones , of coarse.
