its a Miyano MSV21
i might be able to get it for around $5500 shipped
seems like alot of chatter for 0.003" chipload in cold rolled steel..chatter doesnt seem to start until it plunges another 0.125" deep seems like there is already 0.125" pass done before video starts. skip to 1:26 in the video to see when the chatter starts.
but im not that experienced with this sort of cut....
the video description is:
"This is a test cut on a Miyano MSV-21 CNC mill cut cold rolled steel with a .499 4 flute carbide end at 1,500 rpm, taking 4 .125 deep cuts at 12 IPM and leaving .005 on the side walls. The finish cut was at 6 IPM. It was programmed to cut a 4" X 4" square. The block measured 4.001 in both the X and Y directions. If the cut had been .500 the machine would have cut it right on size."
the video shows two types of cuts, as described. i watched the whole video and its basically the same chatter throughout the 0.125" depth cut, but when it gets to the finish cut its very quiet (just sort of intermittent chunk sounds..im guessing thats the much larger chips hitting the enclosure)
does this seem good?
