    arrow 1000 spindle won't align

    Hello all

We recently acquired an arrow 1000 with the a2100 control. It powers up ok and begins to align all 3 axes but won't align the spindle - comes up with alarm 39-81 spindle drive not responding. I checked and the resolver feedback on the motor seems to be working - when i rotate it by hand I get a positive or negative rpm feedback on the control screen. the spindle drive is a vickers acramatic vector 2604a and the sys ok , cpu, & relay L.E.D.s are all green. the fault L.E.D. is red. According to the previous owner the spindle drive was sent away for repair and it still has a warranty seal tag on it. At this point I suspect either a problem with the motor or the I/O board/relays on the enable signal channel. Does anyone have any ideas how to isolate this problem further?

the fault lite is red: 100% means the vfs5 drive has or sees a problem. unless fault lite is off it will not run. see if u can send it back to the place who put the seal on it. if you cannot, feel free to call us for free phone help.
