Hey guy's! Can someone confirm your Rough settings in Generator Parameters, and the Skim settings: I had to reload my software and .tec files and my machine is suddenly running 1/4 of the speed it used to. Cutting around 2.75 In/hour for a .75" thick 3/8 dowel!!!! Used to take me around 15 minutes for the rough and the skim. I am at 15 and only half way done with the rough?

Here are my settings for Rough, Skim (this is for .75" thick 4140 hardened steel).

are you using CT-EXPERT to create tech?

Or are you using predefined tech?

is this a "Brass" generator?

M 21 (for rough cut, and 23 for skim cut), 1 and 3 seem to be incorrect. this should bring the strategy down......

other than that your tech looks okay.

are you absolutely sure that your technology disk matches you com disk?
the wrong version tech in the machine will give poor results.

i would suggest using CT-EXPERT to create tech.

are you giving the part height anywhere in the g-code (REX,E2,H0.75)

Thanks, Is there anyway I can set these values in mastercam x5 power settings? So when I select the power file they are set for the condition code?
