    z touch off plate

I'm considering the purchase of a z touch plate. My end mills have depth collars but the ball nose and engraving bits do not. Seems like this would take out the guess work out of tool changes.....plus they offer a Mach3 script CD.

I found one for $40 + shipping on eBay, ...who else uses this add on?

    Thanks

You can do this for free. All you need to do is find an empty pin on your port. Goto ports and pins in mach3 and select the inputs tab. Scroll down to the probe and turn the red X to a green check. Select port 1 and input the PIN number you have open on your BOB. Hook a wire up to that pin and its corresponding GND, run it to where the spindle is. Hook the GND to an alligator clip then hook the other wire to a Alum plate. That's it for hardware. Now goto the mach3 site and download the BigTex screen set. All the scripts are in that set. I just added this to my machine.
