I just purchased a machine with a USS. I was having erratic behavior in Mac3 with "Run from here" and when starting a gcode program.

Yesterday I updated Mach and USS driver and plugin. The old problems went away but now I have the following:

1. When I hit goto 0, the machine starts to rapid down to the work offset and I get an error on the Z AC servo driver. (this never happened with the old mach3 and USS drivers) If I'm already near the work offest (~2 inches in Z) then I don't get the error.

2. When a tool change is issued, the spindle won't stop. I have to hit Alt-S

3. When I hit ESC in Mach3, I get the USS ran out data error.

I found a suggestion to use an older version of mach (3.043.062) and change some settings in the USS plugin, but It doesn't change anything.

Currently installed:
Win XP
SmoothStepperUSBDriver2.08.28 (hardware V1.2 in device manager)
Mach3Version3.043.066
SmoothStepper_v17fd

Same problem with:
SmoothStepperUSBDriver2.08.24
SmoothStepper_v17f.m3p
Mach3Version3.043.062

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
