    Variable Parameters 31 and 32 Citizen/Fanuc Controls

I know 0031 and 0032 are X and Z grid shift parameters for my machines but I am not sure what the values represent in measurement. I have a machine that's off around 1.5 inches on the top turret but only off 1/8 inches on the bottom. The X grid shift parameter is set at 0. This is kind of confusing since 0031 is the only X grid shift parameter I know of. Any ideas????

Make a large shift, make a simple part in MDI and measure the difference. like just turn .100 under stock dia and measure the difference before and after. Turn your Rapids down to 5% or use dry run to make sure you dont crash. Fanuc controls are usually 1000 in a bit = 1mm so 00001000 grid shift would be 1mm.

Yes thank you, I had to wrap my head around the fact that the parameter wouldn't look anything like the actual distance I was going, finally got it up and running correctly just by process of elimination on the math.
