Alarm 300 APC on Colchester Storm A-50 Fanuc 21i-T

Hello all. I also posted in the colchester lathe section but notice a bit more activity in here.
My lathe used to tell me when the batteries were low. But I converted from Lithium expensive to D cell affordable and I just lost the ref. positions.... Guess I'll just change the batteries every year from now on.
Can anyone help me with the procedure to manual reference position return the axis?? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    The controller

    Thanks in advance.

    Claude

    Ok, made some progress.
I need to go to parameter #1815 and turn off the apc switch by entering 0 as a value in each axis.
But it won't let me because it's write protected.... How do I turn off the write protected??

Found how to get the write protect off.I found a procedure scribbled on the machine manual I got with the machine. Here is how it goes.
Turn the write protect of by going into MDI mode and hitting the offset setting key until the setting soft key appears. Turn off by entering 1 as a value.
Next, press systems key to get to the parameters screen, scroll to line #1815 and change values from 1 to 0 in both the x and z axis, turn off machine.
Once turned on again, jog turret to soft stop on pos. z and pos. x. change paramater #1815 to 0 again and write protect on with the 0 value. Turn off machine.
    But I still get the 300 Alarm.(chair)
    Help!

I have a Storm A50 and tried to use that pdf posted with this thread. What things did you tweek? When I enter the 00110000 into parameter 1815 it doesn't change the parameter even if I cycle the power off and back on. And when I used the suggested 1 000 000 (added spaces for readablity) as the overtravel values, I get a 309 APC ALARM: X Axis ZRN Impossible alarm. When I re-turned the write protect parameter back to 0 as the pdf instructed it didn't change the 1320 parameter to the new suggested value of 1 000 000.
