Setting up and operating CNC machining centers and lathes (Mazak, Hardinge, Mitsubishi, Hurco)
Optimize machining strategies with respect to cycle time/efficiency, tool survivability, and material usage
Utilize progressive technologies such as high speed machining and high-pressure coolant to produce components of the highest quality in the least amount of time.
Using tool call and tool offset codes
Setting tool lengths
Editing programs: G and M codes
Use work offsets / work coordinates
Identifying proper tooling, feeds, and speeds
Measuring and inspecting parts; FAI and in-process
Complete FAI and handoff production SOP to CNC operators
Designing, reviewing, and following job planning
Entering production information
Maintaining accuracy of job planning data, (Standard Operating Procedures)
Leadership role, mentoring role
Aid in work scheduling
Process monitoring
Testing/Prototyping new technologies
Skill Requirements –

7+ years of experience
Experience with Fanuc controls
Proficient with precision measuring instruments
Strong math skills / familiar with GD&T
Proficient technical English reading / interpreting blueprints
Effective interpersonal skills
Strong time management skills
CNC Machinist candidates must be able to work independently
Associate’s Degree is a plus
