I have a Sabre750 with the following symptoms:
On startup the unit DFS5 LED green -CPU blinks and in the same time i dont have command on contactor M20 and no power supply voltage, also lubrication unit, pedant key have no power
The program runs but sometimes do not recognize the keyboard. On the screen at startup appears the following errors:


1: APPLICATION ERROR. APPLICATION STARTUP TIMEOUT. THE NAME IS EXE CNC.EXE


2: NC BASE ENGINE FAILED


3: MWLIST.VBX (S_CURPOS_PGM [0]). SIZE VALUE IS ZERO .......
Can anyone to give me a advice?

It sounds like you may have a bad hard drive that is not loading software files. The newest software is NT4.0 service pack 6. How old is your hard drive???

May be cmos battery is out. Try replace (cr2032), goto BIOS menu, set date-time AND set off any power management system. The same in realtime board, ONLY if battery is too dead. If you have RT board without PM system (recognize by chipset - if u see pins of any chip, this is propably w/o PM. If chips ic PGA ,propably have it - get attetions)

and the blinking vfs5 LED is totally separate issue: usually means you have lost the internal program inside the spindle drive. To repair that we need to replace the internal BRAM chip and reprogram the VFS5 - not something that can be done in the field.

Might this machine have been turned off for years and you are just now bringing it back to life?

my last reply ASSUMED you had no wires/connectors MISSING on the VFS5 drive; perhaps I should not have ASSumed?

Because the LED WILL blink showing drive is in autobaud state - IF connector C7 26 pin ribbon cable of the BDS5 located at top rear of drive has been removed.....
