converting single phase to 3 phase

Hi everyone! I have a Tree J325 with a 5hp motor that needs 3phase. All I have is single. What kind of VFD do I need to convert? Do I just connect my power to one side of the VFD and get 3 phase out the other that goes straight to the machine power supply or is there more to it than that? Will my machine still control the rpm automatically? Thanks, Sal

Answered on your other question. You will need a separate vfd, or a phase converter, or replace the stock vfd with a new one capable of single phase input, however you would also need to do some re wiring in the machine, and set up the new drive.
