Hi Mark, I'm Chris up in Kingman ( sorry can't swing by to help ). If you study the connections on your board ie; parallel port, where the motors hook up, etc. then look at the board your thinking of getting it should be pretty straight forward to switch out. Maybe in the electronic controls section here could help also a good place to post questions about the new board.
Is your setup in a computer case? Does the computer part still fire up just not the machine stuff? As hot as it gets down there you need some pretty good cooling for your processor, they can burn out if it hits 140deg or so. There's software called " cpuid " that will monitor your temps and fan speeds etc.
