I have a torchmate3 machine with a hypertherm powermax 1650 unit, what i am thinking of doing is upgrading the 1650 to a hypertherm MAX PRO 200, with a new hypertherm sensor height control unit, Hypertherm agent has told me that the high frequency start from the max 200 will cause problems in the stepper motors and in the driver box, my system is set up with new bigger stepper motors and the new usb driver box all purchased about a year ago. torchmate has told me the maxpro 200 should work ok, but i dont want to spend a small fortune, and end up not working,
i am cutting a lot of 3/4 plate, the 1650 will cut ok, but want to increase capacity and quality, i hear there is a new powermax 130 being brought out, so that would be 130amps with no high frequency, should i just wait on it to save hassle
