Probe to find center of stock???

I have a job here to make some modifications to existing parts. Due to variances in the original manufacture of these parts no two appear to be the same width. The machining needs to be done on the center line of each part. I am wondering if anyone has developed a script or some kind so that I can probe one side of the part, and then the other, have mach find the difference and center the tool between the two probe points???
FYI I am using a Tormach PCNC 1100 with a tormach touch probe
    Thanks
