    Opinions on vmc10

    Hi guys.

    Going to look at a 1995 vmc 10 tomorrow with a 88hs control. Has r/tap. 7500rpm spindle.
Are they a good machine. ?
Basically looking for the next step from my retrofitted knee mill.
Will be doing small amounts of 3d in ally will the control handle it ?
Other than that it will be just used to make ally m/bike parts.
Anything in particular I should be looking for?

    Opinios please

Ok I went to check it out. Seems like a good thing.

I will have to remove the z axis servo to fit into the garage. What is involved in removing and installing the servo it looks as simple as a few bolts but is that the case?

Make SURE TO USE THE HEAD BLOCKING PROCEDURE IN THE MANUAL (including locking the counterweight!)
Other than that, when you remove the servo, mark the coupling so that you can reinstall in the same position.

Sounds easy enough then. It comes with 3 manuals of different sorts so should be able to sort it out.
