    Okuma Multus B300W Problem

    Hello,

I have a Multus B300W and I need help. When I power the machine up it goes to the windows screen and has a 7006P Alarm Backup Data File Error 40004. Has anybody experienced this? Can anybody help me? I can hit Ok and it goes away, but the machine does not finish booting up.

    Thank You!

My Macturn is an E100 so my problem may have been different. I don't recall the error it threw but once during power down (or up) it wiped the contents of one of the compact flash cards, taking all of my parameters with it.

Okuma had a good tech here at the time. He read the CF card (not sure if the newer controls still use them) in a computer and found it had been wiped clean. He restored what he could from factory disks and the recalibrated the rest. It took him more than a day to do it from what I remember.

He never found the cause. I think I am still running the same CF, he backed it up in case it failed again but it never has since. At that time I made it std procedure to PIP out a parameter file, verify it and copy it to my server before every power down.

    Hope you track it down.

    Kev
