    Small mill build X2 spindle

    This is the beginning of a small mill I am building hopefully it will be a little more rigid than the standard X2 kind of a struggle as I don't have access to a milling machine used to where I was working but I'm laid off so I started to put it together the spindle I started about two years ago just put on the back burner made the spacer block mounted the DC treadmill motor at that time here is a couple pictures

    I would like to see more progress! I'm trying to making a similar machine, but a little more big!

    I have added a couple of steel plates to the base here are a few pictures of that and the first test part 6061 aluminum .040 doc. 15 ipm. 2600 RPM part took 11 minutes not counting tool change

    Machine is up and running now I don't want to say finished because I don't think they ever are . Got my touch probe's up and working here are a couple pictures. Chips are coming out great with 5/16 end mill .060 doc 20 ipm 3000 RPM aluminum 6061
